Relocation Opportunity for Quantity Surveyors in Ireland & the UK

MPA Recruitment is working with established General Contractors in Toronto who are looking to hire experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors from Ireland and the UK. Toronto continues to see significant investment across major construction and infrastructure projects, and our clients are particularly interested in Quantity Surveyors with strong commercial experience gained with leading contractors in Ireland or the UK.
The opportunity
You’ll join a leading Toronto-based General Contractor, taking commercial responsibility for major construction projects from pre-construction through to final account. Typical responsibilities will include:

- Cost planning, forecasting and commercial reporting
- Subcontractor procurement and tender analysis
- Contract administration and commercial management
- Change orders, variations and claims
- Cost control and project financial performance
- Managing subcontractor accounts and payments
- Working closely with Project Managers and senior leadership
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members
What we’re looking for
We’re interested in speaking with Senior Quantity Surveyors who have:
- 7+ years of Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management experience
- Main Contractor / General Contractor experience
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management
- Experience delivering large-scale building or infrastructure projects
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar
- Experience with a recognised Irish or UK contractor would be highly regarded
