Senior Quantity Surveyor – East Manchester – Water Industry – Design and Build – Permanent – From £65,000 + Car allowance
My client is looking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor based on-site in East Manchester. You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and will be expected to take responsibility for the Commercial Management of Projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage quantity surveying duties for projects and work packages
- Liaise with design, construction, and supply chain teams to control costs
- Collaborate with clients to ensure business requirements are met
- Administer main contracts, including issuing contractual notices and correspondence
- Prepare and issue subcontract documentation
- Assist in managing subcontractor performance
- Manage preparation and agreement of payment applications
- Prepare project cost and value reports, budgets, and forecasts
- Support and develop junior commercial staff

- Degree or equivalent
- Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution
- Experience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors
- NEC3/4 Experience
Desirable
- Experience of managing and developing an individual or small team
