Senior Quantity Surveyor – Freelance Contract
Location: Hampshire
Contract: Freelance / Contract
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major construction and infrastructure project based in Hampshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the successful delivery of a significant project. You will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of the works, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial aspects of allocated packages and works.
- Preparing and managing project cost reports and forecasts.
- Managing subcontractor procurement, packages and accounts.
- Assessing variations and change management.
- Supporting project budgets and cost control.
- Preparing valuations and managing payments.
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
- Producing accurate commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting contractual administration and ensuring compliance with project procedures.
- Working closely with project and operational teams to support successful project delivery.

Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on construction, infrastructure or industrial projects.
- Strong commercial and contractual management experience.
- Experience managing subcontractors and commercial packages.
- Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting and reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of commercial responsibilities.
- Valid CSCS Card is required.
