Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Magherafelt

We are hiring for our client, a well-established main contractor, who are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial build team in Magherafelt. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior QS with 5-10 years' experience to take on commercial projects across the UK. You will work closely with senior management and site teams, playing an integral role in the ongoing success of the business.

The Role:

  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of project costs and budgets
  • Support the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Monitor project progress, variations, and valuations
  • Prepare tender documents and reports
  • Liaise with site and design teams to ensure commercial control
  • Maintain accurate records for cost reporting and forecasting

The Person:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role with a main contractor
  • Sound knowledge of commercial construction methods and processes
  • Working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel weekly/bi-weekly
