Senior Radiographer

Derby Hospital | Radiology | Permanent | Full time

Competitive Salary depending on skills and experience

37.5 hours per week

As a Senior Radiographer at our Derby Hospital, you’ll have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), be registered with the HCPC, along with a wealth of experience specialising within plain film and theatre Radiography.

This full time position involves a commitment to weekend working along with participation in an on-call service for X-Ray.

As a Senior Radiographer, you will:

  • See each patient as an individual, offering understanding and empathy
  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload – in the department, on the ward and in theatre
  • Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities
  • Carry out scoping to develop policies and procedures
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues
  • Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion

The Nuffield Health Derby Hospital is a modern, purpose-built hospital with 38 en-suite beds, three operating theatres, and together with a comprehensive range of outpatient services.

The Radiology department is a small but busy department covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, MRI and CT. Set in beautiful grounds, we’re about 3 miles from the city centre, within easy reach of all major roads and bus routes.
