Personal Assistant to Radiology Directorate
This is a great time to join The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as the Personal Assistant to Radiology Directorate. We are currently in the process of redeveloping the hospital to provide a new state-of-the-art hospital for the residents of Hillingdon, and beyond, which supports the very best in delivery of healthcare and will be fit for future.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join a friendly, multi-disciplinary Radiology directorate to provide a full-time PA service including dealing with correspondence, facsimiles, telephone calls and enquiries, creating first draft responses to correspondence on behalf of the Directorate.

This post will require the individual to exercise good judgement and sound communication skills to discuss and identify a range of options and choose the best course of action to resolve issues. They will be expected to quickly and accurately solve a range of issues raised via telephone and verbal messages from internal and external sources on behalf of the Directorate, manage incoming and outgoing mail and delegate items, liaising with relevant senior modality managers. They will be required to support submission of month-end documentation and statistics as required and agreed with the finance department.

To ensure the efficient provision of PA and administrative secretarial support service to members of the Radiology Directorate by being the lead for administration and secretarial services, supervising and coordinating the administrative support services.
- Support and facilitate the management of e-rostering, consultant rota, annual leave, and month-end documentation for the medical consultant radiologists
- Liaise with the Trust financial and HR teams and the radiologists’ clinical leads
The post holder will have responsibility for specific key projects/tasks and will be required to act on their own initiative to see them through to a timely conclusion.
- Handle highly confidential and sometimes contentious and sensitive information of a personal and financial nature
- Observe and comply with specific and implied confidentiality rules and policies
The post holder will be the Directorate PA providing support to the Clinical Lead, Head of Radiology, consultant radiologists, and the modality service leads.
- Undertake analysis of data required to support service delivery and systems to support implementation and efficient utilization of resources
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics, and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.
