About The Role
MCS Group is excited to partner with a prominent global technology firm that is establishing a state-of-the-art engineering hub in Belfast. This organization is focused on developing innovative software solutions that are used worldwide, impacting various industries and driving critical business outcomes. As part of their expansion, they are seeking experienced Senior React Engineers to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining next-generation web applications that are scalable, efficient, and user-centric. You will work in a collaborative environment, engaging with cross-functional teams including UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver seamless digital experiences. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Belfast with a hybrid working model, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within a fast-growing, innovative organization.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess proven expertise in building complex applications using React and Typescript. A strong understanding of frontend technologies such as CSS, HTML5, and responsive design principles is essential. Candidates should have experience working within Agile teams and collaborative environments, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is advantageous but not mandatory. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. While experience in financial services is beneficial, it is not a prerequisite. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, adaptable, and eager to contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality, scalable frontend applications utilizing React, Typescript, and modern web development tools.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, backend engineers, and product teams to ensure the delivery of seamless, intuitive user experiences.
- Participate in architectural discussions, contribute to the design of scalable solutions, and promote best practices in frontend engineering.
- Contribute to the continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development workflows and ensure rapid delivery of features.
- Mentor junior developers, conduct thorough code reviews, and foster a culture of quality and innovation within the team.
- Experiment with new frameworks, tools, and methodologies to improve development efficiency, product quality, and user satisfaction.
