Role Overview
Ebury is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to play a crucial part in our Mobile Platform team. You will work on evolving our mobile app by developing features, services, and frameworks that empower Ebury product teams to:
- Ship amazing features efficiently and independently
- Maintain a unified, usable experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
- React Native Mobile App Ownership: Oversee the app’s entire lifecycle—design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members, engineers, product owners, data teams, and design to deliver impactful results.
- Embrace "You build it, you own it" philosophy by taking full ownership of built products, from development to ongoing maintenance.
- Driven by customer needs: Deeply care about delivering a stellar user experience and actively understand and address customer pain points.
- Foster a strong understanding of complex web applications, with core experience in Python, React, React Native & TypeScript (though other relevant experience will be considered).
- Global collaboration: Communicate ideas clearly and concisely in English, both written and spoken, as you’ll work alongside colleagues from multiple countries.
- Contribute to Expo pipelines, occasionally aiding in service and infrastructure deployment.
- Design and manage services, including:
- Establishing standard APIs.
- Implementing monitoring systems and alerting services.
- Integrating with external systems.
- Ensure code is highly testable with good coverage.
- Adopt open-source principles in internal projects and know how to contribute to external projects.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices.
- On-call responsibility may be required for critical issues.

About You
Experience & Skills
You should have:
- 7+ years of software development experience, including:
- 2+ years of dedicated experience with React Native.
- Proficiency in Python3, PostgreSQL, or Redis, or similar modern technologies and frameworks.
- Background working in fintech or financial services.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile apps to backend systems.
- Mastery of code versioning tools like Git.
- Owning code quality: Responsibility for writing testable, well-covered code with robust unit and integration tests.
- Knowledge of AWS, Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, and databases.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
