Senior Reagent Production Technician
Nuclera is a venture-backed, founder-driven biotech company headquartered in Cambridge, UK with significant operations in Boston, USA. The company’s mission is to improve human health by making proteins accessible. We are beginning this mission through the launch of our eProtein Discovery™ platform. eProtein Discovery is a breakthrough protein expression, characterization, and purification technology, consisting of a lab-based benchtop instrument, cloud-based software and proprietary cartridges and consumables. The goal is to enable rapid protein access to life science researchers around the world.
About the Role
- Formulate, produce, and dispense reagents according to established protocols and specifications.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including pipettes, centrifuges, and UPLC systems.
- Perform quality control tests to ensure reagents meet required standards for purity, stability, and performance.
- Document all production activities, including batch records, inventory logs, and quality control data.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and good lab practice protocols.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, including deviations or non-conformances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to support production goals and timelines.
- Monitor and manage inventory of raw materials and finished products to ensure adequate supply levels using an ERP system.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and enhance product quality.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in a laboratory or production environment, preferably in reagent manufacturing or a related industry.
- Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, including PCR.
- Hands-on experience with analytical chromatography, particularly size-exclusion UPLC (SEC-UPLC).
- Familiarity with working within a QMS.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols accurately.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
