Overview
Our client, an international law firm, is seeking a Senior Real Estate Lawyer to lead complex, high-value real estate investment transactions in London. The role covers private equity real estate, corporate real estate M&A, joint ventures, and strategic asset management for major domestic and international clients.
This is a senior client-facing position with responsibility for driving transactions, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, supervising junior lawyers, and supporting the continued development of the practice.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise complex cross-border and portfolio M&A transactions in the real estate sector.
- Advise on the structuring, operation, and exit of joint ventures and other indirect real estate investment structures.
- Act as a senior client contact, providing strategic legal and commercial advice.
- Drive transactions forward while managing legal risk and coordinating tax, finance, and real estate specialists.
- Lead asset and portfolio management matters, including reorganisations, refinancings, and exits.
- Supervise and develop junior lawyers and trainees.
- Support business development through pitches, thought leadership, and client initiatives.

Requirements
- Senior lawyer, typically with 6+ years’ PQE.
- Strong technical expertise in real estate investment transactions.
- Experience leading complex transactions and managing deals.
- Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial judgement and client-facing capability.
- Proven ability to lead teams and supervise junior lawyers.
