Reception is the heartbeat of our practice.

It is often the first smile a client sees, the calm voice during an emergency and the person who keeps the day running when everything else feels a little unpredictable.

We are looking for an experienced, confident, and approachable Senior Receptionist to join our friendly team at Waterlooville Vets for Pets. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading others, takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.

You will work closely with our Practice Administrator to support the day-to-day running of the practice and make sure our high standards are maintained. When our Practice Administrator is away, you’ll confidently step into a leadership role, supported by our Head Nurse, Deputy Head Nurse and Practice Owner.

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent customer service experience.
  • Has strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Leads by example and isn’t afraid to make decisions.
  • Enjoys bringing out the best in others.
  • Can remain calm, kind, and professional even when the day becomes a little hectic.
  • Takes pride in high standards and notices the little things others might miss.
  • Communicates confidently with clients and the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
