About The Role

Shape strategies. Navigate complexity. Protect positive outcomes.

Are you an experienced credit or recoveries professional who combines strong technical judgement with a practical, commercial approach?

We are looking for a Senior Manager to help manage higher-risk, distressed and non-performing exposures across our Real Estate Finance portfolio. You will take ownership of a varied portfolio of complex cases, develop evidence-based recovery strategies and work with senior stakeholders and external advisers to deliver timely, controlled outcomes.

This is an opportunity to make a visible contribution within a specialist bank, working on cases where your analysis, judgement and stakeholder skills will genuinely matter.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Director of Recoveries, you will assess complex situations, identify the available options and recommend commercially realistic strategies that balance risk, recovery, timing and customer considerations.

From stabilisation and restructuring through to consensual resolution or enforcement, you will help ensure that approved strategies are delivered effectively and that the Bank’s position is understood and protected.

You Will

What you will be doing

  • Analyse borrowers, sponsors, guarantors, security, cash flows, valuations and exit strategies.
  • Turn complex or incomplete information into clear analysis and well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Prepare concise papers for senior stakeholders, including the Impairment Decisioning Committee and Credit Committee.
  • Develop and implement recovery, stabilisation, restructuring, consensual resolution or enforcement strategies.
  • Negotiate with borrowers, sponsors and guarantors and manage agreed milestones, information requirements, waivers and action plans.
  • Monitor borrower, asset and market performance, identifying changes that could affect the Bank’s position.
  • Support impairment and expected credit loss assessments under IFRS 9.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Credit Risk, Legal, Finance and Relationship Management.
  • Manage relationships with external advisers, including valuers, solicitors, insolvency practitioners and fixed charge receivers.
  • Contribute to the continued improvement of recovery procedures, templates, management information and lessons learned.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
