Senior Recruitment Consultant – Construction
Location: Central London
Working: Hybrid
Salary: Competitive / open depending on experience
Commission: No threshold – up to 35%
I'm currently working with a growing recruitment business in Central London who are looking to bring in an experienced recruiter to build out and take ownership of a desk within the business. This is ideally someone operating at Senior Consultant / Principal level who has already proven they can bill, build relationships and develop a market, but is now looking for more responsibility and a bigger opportunity.
About the Role
The main attraction here is the level of ownership. Rather than just joining an established team and working within someone else's structure, you'll have the opportunity to build out your own desk, develop the market and have a real say in how that part of the business grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The salary isn't really the deciding factor here. If the right person is coming across, they'll be prepared to put a package together around them.
If you're an experienced construction recruiter and you're open to hearing about what's out there, apply and I'll give you a call for a confidential chat.
Even if this particular role isn't the right fit, I work with a number of recruitment businesses across Construction, MEP, Civils, Engineering and Mission Critical, so there may be something else that makes more sense for you.
