As a Senior Recruiter with Hays, you will be given the tools to succeed as well as having access to the UK’s largest database of candidates and clients. Hays have invested millions into their technology over the years and are currently innovating their technology platforms in partnership with Cognizant, to simplify your day-to-day role. As an experienced Recruiter you will be using a natural sales ability to engage with your clients and candidates, creating a lifelong partnership with them. You will be advising clients as to the market conditions, candidates available, and best process.

Procurement & Supply Chain is a strategic discipline with Hays as your clients and candidates could be responsible for buying recruitment services, so lifelong partnership is crucial to this area of the business. Not only could you be filling vacancies for your clients, you will also be obtaining and following up on broader leads such as PSL agreements, MSP models, and RPO contracts.

This partnership allows our consultants a competitive approach to market, providing opportunities to attend and host local industry leading events and subsequently engage with the procurement community as a trusted recruitment partner.
In this Recruitment role, you would be responsible for nurturing existing client relationships with key Procurement contacts within London’s public sector. You will also be responsible for winning new clients with successful vacancy fills and contractual bids. Candidates are crucial for your success so you will act as a lifelong partner to your candidates. This will be through high quality service, excellent communication, and matching of candidate skill-sets to client needs.

The Hays London City team also created a brand new “women in procurement” networking group and have hosted 3 very successful events over the last year, with much more in the pipeline that you would be able to get involved in.
To succeed in this role, you will be naturally able to engage with people of all levels, both internally and externally as well as have good telephone and email manner. You will absolutely have to show resilience as this is not an easy job. You cannot be phone-shy in this role so a naturally confident person will succeed in this role.
