Senior Recruitment Consultant – FMCG

Edinburgh | £35,000–£40,000 DOE + commission | Hybrid working

Are you an experienced 360 recruiter who enjoys winning business, developing client relationships and managing the full recruitment process?

A well-established specialist recruitment business is looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join its Edinburgh team. This is an opportunity to work within the food, drink and FMCG market, supporting an established UK client base while continuing to develop new business.

The company has been operating for eight years and has built strong relationships across Scotland and the wider UK. You’ll join a mature team of 11, including nine experienced billers and two delivery consultants, with support from an established senior leadership team.

The opportunity

This is a genuine 360 recruitment role with a strong focus on business development. You’ll be trusted to build relationships, generate new opportunities and manage your desk from initial client contact through to successful placement.

The business recruits across a broad range of functions within food, drink and FMCG, including:

  • Engineering and operations

You don’t necessarily need previous FMCG experience. The business is open to experienced recruiters from other professional sectors who can demonstrate strong 360 capability, commercial confidence and a genuine ability to win new business.

This isn’t a graduate or trainee opportunity, so previous recruitment experience is essential.

Salary and benefits

  • Basic salary of £35,000–£40,000, with flexibility for the right person
  • Quarterly commission scheme
  • Commission of up to 30% at the higher billing level
  • Hybrid working, with up to two days from home once you’re established within the business
