Experienced Recruitment Consultant – Legal Recruitment
Manchester city centre | Hybrid: Tuesday to Thursday in the office
£30,000–£50,000 basic salary, with higher packages considered for relevant experience, plus bonus
Permanent People is working with an established legal recruitment business that is growing its UK and US teams. We’d love to speak with experienced recruiters who enjoy building relationships, developing a desk and working in a collaborative environment with plenty of autonomy.
You don’t need to have recruited lawyers before. Legal recruitment experience would be welcome, but our client is also open to recruiters from other professional services markets who are keen to move into this sector.

- North West Conveyancing: An active, fast-paced market with established client relationships. This could suit someone who enjoys managing volume and building momentum.
- London Private Practice: A consultative desk working with law firms and lawyers on important career moves.
- US Private Practice: Join a growing team focused on recruitment for US law firms.
- US In-House Legal: Help develop a desk placing lawyers into in-house teams across the US, with scope to build client relationships and shape the market.
We’re particularly keen to speak with recruiters who bring commercial drive, a thoughtful approach to candidates and clients, and the confidence to develop new business. You’ll have the freedom to take ownership of your desk, with support from experienced leaders and an established recruitment brand.

What’s on offer
- Basic salary of £30,000–£50,000, with higher packages considered depending on experience
- Hybrid working, with three core office days from Tuesday to Thursday
- A monthly bonus scheme with tiered rates linked to personal fees, plus an additional annual bonus opportunity for performance above target
