Senior Recruitment Consultant
£35,000–£45,000 basic | Uncapped commission | £70,000–£100,000+ earning potential
There are plenty of recruitment jobs where the opportunity is essentially the same:
- Join an established team
- Work somebody else's market
- Hit somebody else's KPIs
- Hopefully get promoted in a couple of years
This isn't that.
The opportunity
Altura Search is approaching the next stage of its growth and we're looking for an experienced recruiter who wants to play a genuine part in it.
In just over four years, we've made more than 350 placements and built relationships with over 150 property and construction consultancies across the UK.
Now we're looking for ambitious recruiters who can help us build what comes next.
You'll take ownership of a specialist market within the built environment, with the autonomy to develop it as your own.
- You'll have access to an established client base
- Existing relationships across many of the UK's leading consultancies
- A recognised brand within our markets
- A business that has spent the last four years building its reputation
You'll be responsible for developing client relationships, building your candidate network and managing recruitment processes from initial conversation through to placement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- You'll have the freedom to recruit properly rather than being managed around arbitrary activity targets
- But with that autonomy comes accountability
We're ambitious about where we're taking Altura and we're looking for people who share that ambition.
Who we're looking for
You'll already have recruitment experience and understand what it takes to build a successful desk.
You don't necessarily need experience recruiting within property or construction.
We're far more interested in whether you've demonstrated that you can develop relationships, generate business, manage processes and consistently create opportunities.
We're looking for someone with:
- 2+ years' recruitment experience
- A demonstrable track record of billing
- Strong business development ability
- The confidence to build senior client relationships
- High personal standards and integrity
- Resilience and genuine self-motivation
- The ambition to build something rather than simply inherit a job
Most importantly, we want someone who wants to progress.
Where can it go?
As far as your performance takes you.
We're deliberately building a small, high-performing recruitment business rather than chasing headcount for the sake of it.

“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
