The Company
ECW Search is a highly profitable, privately owned, and self-funded recruitment business specializing in commercial hiring across the UK, EMEA, and US.
We work with market-leading global brands and high-growth businesses across retained search, contingent recruitment, and embedded talent solutions.
We're now investing in the next phase of ECW's growth, expanding into new specialist markets while continuing to build the core business.
For the right people, this creates an opportunity to join an established recruitment company while still having the freedom, earning potential, and influence normally associated with a much smaller business. This is the opportunity to create your own business within a business - no strings attached, no smoke and mirrors.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced recruiter who can build relationships, win business, and deliver excellent recruitment solutions for customers. ECW thrives on partnering with customers and solving complex staffing bottlenecks.
You may already have an established specialist market or be looking for the opportunity to take greater ownership of a desk and develop it into something bigger and truly own your business unit.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll have the freedom and backing to develop your market, alongside access to ECW's existing infrastructure, technology, and experience. This is a role where you will have full budget responsibility to deploy to achieve your business goals.
You will:
- Develop and manage your own specialist recruitment desk and build the division
- Build new customer relationships through proactive business development
- Grow existing relationships and identify new opportunities

The Person
We're looking for someone who already understands recruitment and wants more opportunity from their next move - to genuinely have ownership and be backed to build your own business.
You don't need to arrive ready to build an entire division. You do need to be commercially ambitious, comfortable developing business, and capable of running a successful desk with a minimum of £180k billings track record.
