DS Refrigeration is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a senior engineering role for someone with strong technical knowledge and extensive experience in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning. You will lead complex projects, diagnose challenging faults, support other engineers and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The Role
As a Senior Engineer, you will take responsibility for complex refrigeration and air conditioning work across a wide range of customer sites throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
You will also play an important role in supporting and mentoring junior engineers, helping maintain high standards of workmanship across the engineering team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and delivering complex commercial refrigeration and air conditioning projects
- Carrying out advanced fault-finding and diagnostics
- Installing, commissioning, servicing and repairing commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Diagnosing and resolving complex technical and electrical issues
- Supporting and mentoring junior and less experienced engineers
- Providing technical guidance and assistance on challenging jobs
- Identifying recurring faults and recommending effective long-term solutions
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Completing service reports, job sheets and technical documentation accurately
- Liaising professionally with customers and providing a high level of customer service
- Working independently and taking responsibility for jobs from start to completion
- Travelling to customer sites throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland
- Following company health & safety procedures and industry best practices

What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience working with commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Strong advanced fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- F-Gas certification
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Extensive experience in installation, commissioning, servicing and repairs
- Strong understanding of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Previous experience supporting, mentoring or leading other engineers
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach
- Willingness to travel throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our engineering team and are looking for an experienced senior engineer who can take responsibility for complex work, support the wider engineering team and help us maintain our high standards as the company continues to grow.
