Senior Regional Director
Salary: Up to £225K DOE
Location: Ideally London but flexible
A Rare Level of Influence
This is not a role for someone looking to inherit a region and keep it ticking over. It is an opportunity to help shape the future of a fast-growing, insurance group with genuine authority over strategy, acquisitions and the people who will deliver on it.
We are working exclusively with a highly ambitious brokerage to appoint a Senior Regional Director, a role that operates with Branch Directors across the region reporting directly into it.
The remit goes well beyond regional oversight. You will have real influence over organic growth, acquisition strategy, integration of newly acquired businesses, and the broader commercial direction of the South.
About the Business
This Group has built its reputation by bringing together outstanding specialist insurance businesses and giving them the platform, capital and expertise to grow further. It combines organic development with a disciplined, well-resourced acquisition strategy and it is still very much in expansion mode, with further investment planned across its office network and a clear appetite for further growth.
Despite its scale, the culture remains genuinely entrepreneurial. Senior leaders are expected to take ownership, challenge convention and make decisions, not simply administer a playbook handed down from above.
The Role
- Providing strategic and commercial leadership across the Southern Corporate & Commercial business
- Leading and supporting Branch Directors across the region
- Developing existing offices and identifying opportunities to grow revenue and profitability
- Helping shape the wider Southern growth strategy
- Identifying acquisition opportunities and assessing their commercial and cultural fit
- Playing a leading role in the integration of acquired businesses
- Identifying new markets, sectors and specialist propositions
- Encouraging collaboration across the Group's offices and specialist businesses
- Developing senior talent and building a high-performing leadership culture
- Working with the wider executive team to shape commercial strategy
- Maintaining strong relationships with key clients, markets and industry stakeholders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What Sets This Apart
Most Regional Director roles ask you to maintain what already exists. This one asks something different.
You will have the seniority, autonomy and backing with strategic thinking valued as highly as operational leadership.
Culture
The business has scale, but it has not lost its entrepreneurial edge. Senior leaders are given genuine ownership and are expected to challenge ideas rather than simply implement them. The emphasis throughout is on collaboration, specialist expertise and developing people not bureaucracy.
For the right leader, this offers considerably more influence than a comparable role within a traditional large national broker.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking to speak with senior insurance leaders who can demonstrate:
