About the Role
As Lily Services Group continues to grow and raise standards in therapeutic residential care across Dorset, Poole, and Somerset, we are looking for experienced and ambitious Senior Registered Managers to join our existing and developing children’s homes.
We operate a diverse range of residential services, including:
- Specialist therapeutic solo placements
- Two-bed and three-bed children’s homes
- Four-bed therapeutic homes
- Specialist provision for children with neurodiverse needs
- Trauma-informed and emotionally and behaviourally focused therapeutic care
- Specialist preparation homes for younger children
- Services supporting children as they progress towards greater independence
We are looking for experienced managers who can lead across this range of provision, build strong teams, and help shape the next stage of Lily’s development.
For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to take a senior role within a growing organisation, with total earning potential of up to £76,000 per annum.
Your package will reflect your experience, previous Ofsted outcomes, the size and complexity of the service you manage, agreed performance objectives, and, where appropriate, responsibility for up to two small homes or a larger four-bed service.
About Us
One Lily. One Journey.
At Lily Services Group, we believe children and young people deserve consistency, stability, and strong loving relationships throughout their journey.
Our One Lily. One Journey. approach creates a connected pathway from therapeutic residential care through to supported accommodation, adulthood, and greater independence.
Our homes are designed around the individual needs of the children we support. That means different homes may have different purposes, therapeutic approaches, and levels of complexity, but they all share the same expectation:
- Safe, nurturing homes
- Strong professional practice
- Consistently high standards of loving care
As a Senior Registered Manager, you will play a key role in delivering that standard.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a high-quality therapeutic home while building a capable, confident, and professionally accountable team.
You will:
- Lead the regulatory and operational management of the home.
- Build, coach, and develop high-performing staff teams.
- Maintain excellent safeguarding, care planning, risk management, and recording standards.
- Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and statutory guidance.
- Prepare the home consistently for Ofsted inspection.
- Develop our New Registered Managers, Trainee Managers, and Lead Practitioners.
- Maintain strong oversight of incidents, safeguarding concerns, and professional practice.
- Build effective relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals.
- Manage staffing, resources, and operational performance effectively.
- Support service improvement and the development of Lily’s therapeutic model.
- Contribute to the opening and development of future homes and services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
