Senior Regulatory Compliance Officer
We're partnered with a high-growth, London-headquartered Payments Fintech that serves businesses globally. They're looking for a Senior Regulatory Compliance Officer to strengthen their second-line function, bringing regulatory oversight to new products and helping the business expand safely into new markets.
It is ideally suited to someone who enjoys being involved early, shaping how products are built rather than reviewing them at the end, and who can balance regulatory rigour with a fast-moving commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted compliance adviser from the earliest stages of product development, so that regulatory requirements are designed in from day one rather than bolted on later
- Support the firm's European expansion by assessing licensing and regulatory requirements in new markets and building practical, local compliance solutions, including consumer protection and operational controls
- Own regulatory filings, disclosures and responses to supervisory bodies, making sure submissions are accurate and on time and that regulator relationships stay strong
- Keep compliance policies, procedures and control frameworks current, testing first-line operations and driving remediation where gaps appear
- Track regulatory change across the relevant jurisdictions, turning it into clear internal guidance and training that the business can act on
- Design and run thematic reviews and targeted audits covering areas such as vulnerable customers, complaints handling and operational resilience, with root cause analysis and actionable recommendations

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
