Coopman Search & Selection Partnership

Coopman Search & Selection are delighted to partner with an award-winning and specialist Regulatory Consultancy providing expert advice and products to financial institutions. This is for the role of a Senior Consultant to join the firm's Payments Services practice, working with some highly prestigious PSPs and EMIs.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Consultant;

  • Provide support to clients on the legislations and regulatory requirements around UK Payment Services;
  • Maintaining knowledge of regulations such as Payment Services Regulations 2017 and the Electronic Money Regulations 2017;
  • Reviewing client documents, applying the necessary legal and regulatory frameworks;
  • Provide support for FCA applications for various Payments Services firms;
  • Answering client questions regarding their regulatory obligations from a technical perspective;
  • Occasional responsibility to attend clients' sites to perform Payment Services tasks;
  • Become a trusted advisor to clients to maintain relationships;
  • Supporting peers within your direct team and sharing best practices.

Experience required of the Senior Consultant;

  • Relevant regulatory experience (ideally 2-3 years) in Financial Services, ideally from another consulting firm or an in house role at a Payments firm or EMI
  • Experience with regulatory licensing applications and the requirements involved in obtaining those
  • Be articulate in communications both written and verbally, with the ability to interpret and analyse data thoroughly;
  • Have a strong attention to detail ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner;
  • Educated to Degree level and competent with a full suites of Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong ability to work within a team, whilst also having own initiative, with the capability to manage more than one work steam at once
