Ceded Reinsurance is a strategic function within AXA XL in charge of defining and implementing the reinsurance strategy as well as administrating all reinsurance treaties through their lifecycle. Ceded Re is part of the AXA XL Underwriting function, the AXA XL Global Chief Underwriting Officer being a member of AXA XL Leadership team.
Ceded Re Operations team is responsible for the administration of all Treaty Reinsurance business written within AXA XL. Ceded Re Operations is composed of 4 key areas: Technical Operations, Technical Accounting, Data & Operations Reporting and Central Operations.
This role resides within the Ceded Reinsurance Specialty Technical Operations team based in London, which is responsible for:
- Global reinsurance policy set-up for all lines of business
- Administration of Ceded Reinsurance issued to brokers
What you’ll be doing
The job is for a Reinsurance Specialist within the Ceded Reinsurance Technical Operations team at AXA XL in London.
The role involves managing the lifecycle of treaty reinsurance across various Non marine Specialty classes of business, such as Accident & Health, Political Risk, War, and others.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing reinsurance operations across multiple systems
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring contractual and reporting compliance
- Supporting transformation projects
- Managing financial processes like premium payments and claims
The position requires experience in reinsurance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with virtual teams.
The role also involves building relationships with brokers, claims, legal, and finance teams, and supporting the overall strategic and operational goals of the reinsurance function.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
- Experience with multiple lines of business in Reinsurance environment in previous roles.
- Advanced command of MS Office and in particular advanced Excel skills and potential Access, Power BI.
- Ability to liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Good Collaborator: can work effectively with key stakeholders at all levels
- Coaching and capability-building, conscientious about quality and accuracy of work provided
- Excellent Time management and organization skills
- Agility and ability to work on several topics at the same time
- Experience working with a virtual team
- Effective communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration both in person and virtual.
- Able to work to tight deadlines in order to correctly reflect in financials for close
- Good eye for detail and process.
- Comfortable in giving training to team where required.
- Ability to travel to other AXA XL offices for meeting and training colleagues.
