Job Purpose
Act as a key business partner on the Underwriting Line of Business assigned and be accountable for all outwards post placement activity ensuring contracts are captured accurately in outwards system and collections are notified to brokers in a timely manner
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and create reinsurance contracts in outwards systems
- Initiate settlement of reinsurance premium to broker and carrier with credit control team
- Identification and calculation of reinsurance recoveries within reinsurance systems including reconciliations to Finance outputs
- Submit accurate and timely statements, advices and collection notes to brokers and reinsurers
- Resolve queries and provide support to front office team working closely with shared services operations
- Identify potential improvements to processes and services
- Engage with stakeholders to provide updates on status and knowledge sharing

Essential Skills and Experience Specification:
The successful candidate will require knowledge and experience gained through working for an Insurance/Reinsurance Syndicate, Company or Broker.
- Experience, knowledge and in-depth understanding of the Insurance/Reinsurance Market from a Lloyd’s, Company or broker market perspective
- Methodical approach to problem solving and decision making
- Customer focus and service mentality
- Focus on execution and timely delivery of quality outputs
- Self-motivated, can-do attitude and proactive mindset
- Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability and confidence to challenge existing procedures & use of system
- Strong computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and MS PowerPoint
