Referment

Referment is working with a financial-markets technology business that provides trade-surveillance software to major financial institutions. Its solutions use quantitative modelling to help customers detect potential market manipulation and manage regulatory, financial and reputational risk.

The business is looking for a Senior Relationship Manager who can combine detailed financial-markets knowledge with commercial ownership. You will develop senior customer relationships, understand institution-specific business problems and show how sophisticated technology can address them. The remit covers both expanding established accounts and managing the sales process from an initial lead through to a completed deal.

This is a consultative role rather than a purely transactional sales position. You will become a product and subject-matter expert, work with colleagues on tailored pitches and demonstrations, and bring customer insight back into product discussions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Relevant Desirable Experience

Experience of trade surveillance, market-abuse regulation or technology-led regulatory solutions would be valuable, but candidates with adjacent markets expertise should also be considered.

This could suit an institutional salesperson, structurer, senior account manager or former markets professional who has moved into consultative technology sales and can command credibility with both commercial and technical stakeholders.
