Senior Relationship Manager

Up to £35,000 + Bonus | Wolverhampton | Permanent

Are you an experienced Relationship Manager who enjoys working with business owners and senior leaders, understanding what makes their organisation tick and building genuinely valuable long-term relationships?

MET Professional is delighted to be recruiting a Senior Relationship Manager for a well-established, business-focused organisation based in Wolverhampton.

This is much more than traditional account management. You’ll manage a portfolio of key business relationships, working closely with owners, directors and senior decision-makers to understand their priorities, challenges and growth ambitions.

You’ll become a trusted point of contact, using your commercial knowledge to identify opportunities, provide practical support and connect businesses with services, resources and opportunities that can add real value.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of key business relationships
  • Building trusted relationships with owners, directors and senior leaders
  • Holding regular account reviews and developing proactive account plans
  • Understanding clients’ commercial priorities, challenges and growth plans
  • Providing practical business support, guidance and introductions
  • Identifying opportunities to increase engagement and develop existing accounts
  • Connecting businesses with relevant services, events, training and specialist support
  • Facilitating introductions, collaborations and commercial opportunities
  • Attending client meetings, networking events and other business activities
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and monitoring account engagement and retention

What we’re looking for

You could come from relationship management, account management, business support, consultancy or advisory services. Equally, you may have previously run or managed an SME and be looking for an opportunity where you can put that commercial experience to good use.

You’ll be commercially astute and comfortable speaking with senior decision-makers, with a broad understanding of the challenges businesses face across areas such as sales, finance, marketing, people and operations.

You’ll also need strong communication and relationship-building skills, plenty of personal credibility and the ability to listen, challenge and influence appropriately.

You’ll spend a minimum of two days per week at the Wolverhampton office.
