Hangar 13 / 2K is recruiting for the role of Senior Rendering Engineer. A Senior Rendering Engineer is sought to develop and optimise Unreal Engine 5 rendering for photorealistic AAA games. The role works with Tech Art, Lighting and Environment teams in a globally distributed setting.

What you’ll do
- Advance, modify, and optimise Unreal Engine 5's rendering pipeline for performance and artistic demands.
- Work with Lighting, Environment Art and Tech Art teams to remove pipeline bottlenecks and support the creative vision.
- Research, develop, implement and debug photorealistic graphics techniques for characters and large-scale environments.
- Prepare clear technical designs for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Identify technical and developmental risks in the rendering pipeline and propose solutions.
- Navigate, maintain and improve a large multi-platform codebase using advanced C++ and modern graphics APIs.
- Collaborate across studio locations and stay aligned with the Render Lead and local engineering anchors.

What they’re looking for
- Significant experience in computer games engineering focused on real-time computer graphics, shaders and engine development.
- Advanced knowledge of C++ and multi-threaded programming techniques.
- Strong knowledge of real-time rendering techniques, 3D maths and linear algebra.
- Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.
- Able to work collaboratively in a global team and independently as an outcome-oriented problem solver.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional work experience.
- Experience shipping one or more AAA game titles on multiple platforms is highly desirable.
- Deep multi-platform experience with Unreal Engine 5 or highly customised proprietary engines is highly desirable.
