WeDoData is a specialist recruitment company that focuses on non-teaching support in the education sector.
We’re working with a public sector client in East of England who are looking for an experienced Senior Reporting & Systems Developer who enjoys working with data, building useful reporting tools and improving the systems people rely on every day.
You’ll work heavily with SQL, SSRS and Power BI, developing reports and dashboards, improving data processes and supporting key business systems. You’ll also help make sure management information is accurate, accessible and genuinely useful.
What you’ll be doing;
- Building and improving Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports
- Working extensively with SQL and databases
- Developing KPI and management reporting
- Improving and integrating existing systems
- Supporting data transfers, APIs and third-party applications
- Working with colleagues to understand what they need from their data
- Mentoring junior members of the reporting and systems team
- Helping streamline processes and reduce unnecessary administration

Requirements:
You’ll need strong SQL and database skills, with hands-on experience developing reporting solutions using Power BI and SSRS. Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#.NET, APIs would also be useful but not essential.
You don’t necessarily need to come from a background in education, although previous experience working with data in further or higher education would be an advantage.
Benefits:
In return my client can offer £40,541 per annum, 30 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays and discretionary days, and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
There is a remote working arrangement available after the initial settling in period, with an expectation of 1 day per month in the office.
