About The Role
We at PEI Group are looking for a Senior Research Associate, Investor Engagement to join our welcoming, diverse and growing team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of researchers tasked with speaking to institutional investors globally to understand their private markets investment plans.
The role is results-driven, and the successful candidate will be tasked with interacting with the market and extracting digestible pieces of content for PEI’s client base. The role demands high levels of self-motivation, the ability to lead by example, first-rate organisational skills, excellent verbal and written communication and an ability to confidently interact with senior investment executives globally.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:
Market interactions:
- Building and maintaining relationships with private markets investment professionals through regular phone, email and in-person communications.
- Implementing effective strategies to gather a greater volume of highly valuable insights from the global investment community.
Content creation:
- Populating PEI’s structured database with information sourced from investors.
- Writing high-quality profiles of investors’ future investment plans.

- The Senior Research Associate, Investor Engagement will work with a team of research associates within the local office and will be expected to build relationships with colleagues in other offices.
- The Senior Research Associate, Investor Engagement will also need to build relationships with editorial, sales, events and marketing staff members who are also tasked with working with institutional investors.
Key success measures:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving key success measures in relation to the quality and quantity of outreach.
- These measures will include the number of outbound calls/emails made and the number/quality of successful interactions where proprietary information is sourced.
- The successful candidate will also measure customer appreciation for the content created.
About You
Requirements
The role would suit individuals who have:
- Professional experience gained in a research environment in a similar complex organisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High levels of self-motivation.
- The ability or willingness to learn the dynamics of the private markets industry to have informed conversations with its participants.
- An inquisitive nature and a proactive, methodological and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Working knowledge of financial markets preferably within the private markets asset classes.
