We are seeking a Senior Research Consultant to join our Manchester team, supporting the delivery of high-quality Social and Market Research in Manchester and the wider UK.

This role is suited to an experienced consultant who can support the technical delivery of Social and Market Research projects, including leading all stages of the research lifecycle, including research design, project delivery, and client management. They will bridge the gap between directors and junior grades and manage small to medium sized projects. They will oversee data collection activities, lead qualitative fieldwork such as focus groups and in-depth interviews, and undertake robust qualitative and quantitative analysis. The role will also be responsible for producing high-quality reports and delivering clear, insight-driven presentations to clients, supporting informed decision-making and reinforcing the team’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Delivery

  • Lead the design and development of robust, methodologically sound research frameworks aligned to client objectives
  • Oversee and coordinate data collection activities, including survey deployment and fieldwork execution
  • Design and facilitate qualitative research, including moderating focus groups and conducting in-depth interviews
  • Apply advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to generate actionable insights
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with MRS and data protection regulations
  • Produce clear, concise, and insight-driven reports tailored to client and stakeholder needs
  • Develop and deliver high-quality presentations that communicate findings effectively and support decision-making

Project Management

  • Manage the delivery of small and medium-sized projects, ensuring outputs meet quality standards, programme deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate research outputs into wider project delivery
  • Maintain strong risk identification and mitigation, raising issues early and managing them appropriately.
  • Support effective project coordination, including task planning, resourcing, and progress reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
