About us

Dyson is a global technology enterprise. We solve the problems others choose to ignore, with surprising new inventions that defy convention and make everyday life better. Our ambition drives us to grow fast, reach more markets, and push the boundaries of what's possible—with a focus on engineering mindset, continuous refinement, and ingenuity.

About the role

As a Senior Research Scientist within our Research function, you will be part of a team developing new technology for gas and water filtration. You will research and assess novel filtration solutions for Dyson’s Home and New Category teams.

You will assess emerging filtration technologies through literature research and experimentation and lead technical projects from inception to transfer. The role involves both hands-on rig design/build and guiding platform development, enabling rapid proof-of-concept and optimisation.

Collaboration is key. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and leadership to align technical objectives and ensure that complex scientific ideas are communicated in clear terms understandable to non-experts. You will model Dyson values and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and high performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
