Senior Reserving Actuary – 12 Month Contract | £1,200/day
I’m working with a prestigious London Market insurer looking for an experienced Reserving Actuary to join their team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

London – 4 days office / 1 day home
12-month contract
London market exposure
Reporting into the Group Chief Actuary, this is a broad senior reserving role covering a diverse range of specialty lines and working closely with Underwriting, Pricing, Claims, and CAT Modelling teams.

The role will include:
- Quarterly reserving, assumption setting, and reserve calculations
- Large loss and natural catastrophe analysis
- IELR and development pattern assumptions
- AvE analysis and reserve movement commentary
- Reserve variability / CoV analysis
- Reserve Committee, Board, and actuarial reporting
- Improving reserving processes, data, and reporting
- Developing analytics and dashboards
- Reviewing work produced by Actuarial Analysts
We’re looking for a part or fully qualified actuary with extensive reserving experience within the London market. Strong technical reserving experience is essential, alongside the ability to confidently challenge, interpret, and communicate results.
