Senior Reservoir Geologist

Location: Crawley, West Sussex – Hybrid
Contract: 6 months
Experience: 10–15+ years
Rate: Competitive

PE Global is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Reservoir Geologist on behalf of a leading global technology and energy organisation, based in Crawley. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Reservoir Geologist with a strong background in static model construction using Petrel, particularly someone with a strong understanding of Middle East geology.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide specialist reservoir geology expertise across the sales and product/service delivery lifecycle, supporting technical job design, operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support in reservoir geology throughout the Sales and Product & Service Delivery process.
  • Supporting the development of technical job designs and optimising technical solutions.
  • Constructing and working with static reservoir models using Petrel.
  • Applying knowledge of Middle East geology to regional projects and reservoir studies.
  • Identifying opportunities to apply new and cost-effective techniques and technologies.
  • Supporting technical evaluations and tender appraisals.
  • Providing real-time technical support and assisting with incident response, recovery, and investigation where required.
  • Supporting risk management and applying lessons learned to improve job design and execution.
  • Exploring opportunities for value-added products and services.
  • Maintaining awareness of new technologies and developments within the industry.
  • Supporting technical publications, presentations, and contributions to professional societies.
  • Engaging with universities, customer institutes, and research organisations.
  • Working collaboratively with technical and engineering teams to optimise project delivery.

  • 10–15+ years' experience as a Reservoir Geologist.
  • Strong and demonstrable experience using Petrel – this is a must.
  • Experience with static reservoir model construction.
  • Strong knowledge of Middle East geology.
  • Experience contributing to regional projects and static modelling studies.
  • Strong technical understanding of reservoir geology and modelling workflows.
  • Ability to provide technical support across project delivery, operations, and tender activities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying technical improvements and value-added opportunities.
