At Inspire, we don’t just provide care we create safe, loving homes where children and young people feel seen, heard, and truly valued. Our teams work together like family, united by compassion, trust, and the belief that every young person deserves to feel inspired and supported to flourish. We're looking for Senior Residential Childcare Workers who share that belief.
We’re looking for a number of Seniors to help out at our existing homes in the Carlisle, Cumbria area with the potential of opening a new home in Carlisle itself in the near future. We're really excited about this new home and we will be installing sector lead clinical provision, with psychologists embedded within services offering both direct support to young people and reflective support to staff. That is rare in the sector. For the right senior, that’s a serious development opportunity. This is not just another senior role. It is a chance to be clinically up-skilled, professionally stretched and part of something progressive.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
