The Role
You will handle a mixed residential caseload, with responsibility from initial instruction through to post-completion. Client care is paramount, and you will help to uphold the firm’s national reputation for excellence.

This position reports to the Legal Director and Head of Private Client Residential, and many opportunities exist to take on supervisory duties and contribute to team development.
What We're Looking For
- Manage a varied caseload in residential conveyancing, ensuring strict deadlines are met in a pressurised but friendly environment.
- Maintain and build upon existing client relationships.
- Supervise the team in the absence of the Legal Director.
- Liaise positively with support staff including Legal Secretaries, Paralegals, and Trainee Paralegals.
- Ensure accurate client records, both electronic and paper-based, are maintained.
- Act as an ambassador, upholding the firm’s reputation and values.
- Undertake relevant staff development and training regularly.
- Adapt to changes in technology and business operations.
Skills And Experience
- Ideally 5-6+ PQE working as a Solicitor or FCILEx
- Detailed understanding of Property Law.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Confident in supervisory and mentoring roles within the team.
- Proactive, self-organised, and able to solve problems independently.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- Adaptable to evolving business needs.
- Competent with Information and Communications Technologies.
- Excellent time management, prioritisation, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

This role can be based at either Gloucester or North Bristol, with regular office attendance expected. Full-time hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday (9:00am – 5:30pm, with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break). Part-time hours and hybrid working may be considered to support your work-life flexibility.
