Senior Residential Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established company providing specialist residential care for children and young people with complex needs.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be providing direct care and taking a senior role in the day-to-day running of the home, while supporting the development of the wider care team.

This full-time permanent role offers a salary of £30,000 plus £60 per sleep-in and benefits. No sponsorship provided.

We are also seeking a Residential Support Worker with a salary of £26,000 plus £60 per sleep-in.

Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day care and support to children with learning disabilities, maintaining their safety, dignity, and wellbeing
  • Taking a lead role in the daily operation of the home and supporting management decisions
  • Planning and engaging children in activities, play, cooking, and community-based activities
  • Supervising and supporting members of the care team
  • Assisting with shift planning and team development
  • Supporting children with their educational and health needs
  • Completing household, health, and safety, and general maintenance tasks
  • Maintaining individual risk assessments and ensuring they are followed
  • Acting as a key worker for allocated children

Candidates Considered

What We Are Looking For

  • Prior experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare / Children and Young People qualification
  • A genuine commitment to supporting and nurturing children and young people
  • A full UK manual driving licence
