Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care

Location: Handsworth, Birmingham
Salary: £14.50–£15.50 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 2 days on / 4 days off
Start Date: Immediate starts available
We are working with an established and steadily growing provider of children’s residential care, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) across their existing homes, with an additional home for EBD and Learning Disabilities (LD) currently progressing through registration.
With experienced Managers already in place, they are looking to strengthen their teams with impressive Senior Residential Support Workers who can make a genuine difference to the young people they support.
The Role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the home, supporting young people to develop, achieve positive outcomes and feel safe and valued.

- Work alongside the Manager and wider team to maintain a high standard of care
- Provide positive role modelling
- Help create a stable, nurturing environment
The provider is particularly interested in candidates who have experience within residential children’s homes, with previous therapeutic or trauma-informed environments highly desirable.
About You
- Previous experience working within a residential children’s home
- A relevant childcare qualification is desirable
- Experience supporting young people with EBD would be beneficial
- Therapeutic care experience would be highly desirable
- Positive, resilient and committed approach to supporting young people
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Full right to work in the UK
- A full driving licence would be beneficial

- 1 sleep-in per week, with a dedicated waking-night team also in place
- Full-team training and bonding every other Wednesday
