About the Role
This is a high-impact retail operations role responsible for keeping day-to-day fulfillment running accurately, efficiently, and reliably.
- Oversee retail orders, inventory availability, OTIF performance, and logistics coordination across key retail and distribution partners.
- Combine operational ownership with strong analytical thinking, helping identify risks before they become costly disruptions.
- Work closely with internal teams, 3PLs, retailers, and logistics partners to resolve issues and maintain strong service levels.
- Significant scope to improve processes, build scalable SOPs, and introduce smarter tools and AI-enabled workflows.
Success will come from being proactive, organized, data-driven, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving environment. This is an opportunity to play a central role in scaling a retail operation while continuously improving how the business works.
Accountabilities
- Own day-to-day retail order fulfillment, proactively monitoring shipments and resolving potential delivery issues before they result in late or incomplete orders.
- Manage base inventory proactively, identifying potential shortages and communicating risks early enough to prevent order shortfalls.
- Process new retail orders accurately and within required timelines to maintain consistent product availability and service levels.
- Conduct inventory reviews ahead of promotions and new product launches to ensure sufficient stock and smooth execution.
- Track OTIF performance, chargebacks, late shipments, and related operational metrics, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with 3PL and logistics partners, resolving escalations and ensuring agreed service levels and SLAs are consistently met.
- Develop, maintain, and document retail operations SOPs covering receiving, lot and expiry management, promotions, returns, and other key processes.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements that increase accuracy, speed, scalability, and overall service quality.
- Evaluate and introduce appropriate technology, automation, and AI tools to streamline workflows and improve retail operations.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external retail and logistics stakeholders to ensure reliable end-to-end fulfillment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
