Role Purpose

Own trading performance for the Fixed Capacity portfolio — River Cruise and Ocean products, optimising yield and load factors within a fixed capacity environment. Ships and cabins are committed assets — once sold out or past their window, revenue cannot be recovered. This role requires disciplined, proactive revenue management: the ability to read booking curves early, make confident pricing decisions at pace, and avoid the twin traps of premature sell-out and unsold inventory.

What makes this role different

River Cruise and Ocean are not forgiving commercial models. The capacity is fixed, the cost base is largely committed regardless of occupancy, and the margin impact of getting it wrong is direct and immediate. You're not flexing supply — you're optimising a constrained asset. The best River Cruise revenue managers are part analyst, part trader, and part air traffic controller: constantly monitoring pace, making calls before the data is perfect, and staying disciplined when the temptation is to discount to fill.

Key Responsibilities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
