The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Reward professional looking for a rare opportunity to shape reward strategy across the UK and Europe?

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Senior Reward Manager to join QBE’s People Team in Leeds. This is a varied and influential role where you will lead the implementation and evolution of reward, remuneration and benefits programmes that support our ability to attract, retain and motivate talent across the organisation.

You will play a key role in ensuring our reward frameworks are innovative, commercially aligned, consistently applied and market competitive, while also supporting strong governance and regulatory compliance.

Your New Role

As Senior Reward Manager, you will lead the delivery and ongoing development of reward programmes across the UK and Europe, ensuring our approach supports a high-performing culture and strengthens QBE’s ability to attract and retain talent.

You will manage a small team and work closely with business leaders, People Business Partners, wider People colleagues and global reward teams to translate reward strategy into practical, effective and compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design, review and evolution of reward programmes across the UK and Europe
  • Translating reward strategy into clear policies, processes and operational plans
  • Providing expert reward advice to senior stakeholders and colleagues across the People function
  • Using market insight, data and external trends to inform recommendations and decision-making
  • Supporting annual reward activity, remuneration governance and wider People projects with a reward remit
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulatory, employment and governance requirements
  • Coaching and developing a small team, supporting capability, performance and career development

About You

We are looking for an experienced Reward professional who combines technical expertise with strong commercial judgement, stakeholder management and leadership skills.

You will also have:

  • Strong experience in reward, remuneration, or total rewards
  • Experience designing, implementing or improving reward programmes
  • Strong knowledge of reward principles, market trends, employment legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and presenting specialist information clearly
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and decision-making skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience leading, coaching or developing others
  • Workday experience and working knowledge of Solvency II regulations would be beneficial
