Our client is expanding a fast-growing design centre in Cambridge and is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to play a key role in the development of advanced RF and mmWave systems. This is a chance for a Senior RF Engineer to work at the forefront of high-frequency innovation, contributing to next-generation communications and defence technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF/mmWave sub-circuits, modules, and systems to meet technical, cost, and quality targets
  • Carry out specification, simulation, and design realisation of components such as filters, couplers, transmission lines, and frequency synthesisers
  • Select and evaluate ICs/MMICs, liaising with vendors as required
  • Collaborate with mechanical and PCB engineers on high-frequency layouts and electromechanical integration
  • Perform line-up, tolerance, and yield analyses to ensure manufacturability
  • Deliver fully verified and documented designs, including test specifications, compliance matrices, and peer-reviewed design records
  • Support product introduction, including troubleshooting and defining diagnostic procedure
  • Actively contribute to technical discussions and design reviews

Requirements

  • Degree (or equivalent) in RF, Communications, or a related engineering discipline
  • Proven experience in RF/microwave circuit and system design.
  • Proficiency with RF design tools such as ADS, Microwave Office, CST, or EMPro
  • Solid understanding of transceiver architectures and RF product design principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving approach to design verification
