At OQC, we aren't just theorising about the future; we're building it.

Born from a philosophy of bold innovation, we've successfully transitioned quantum computing from an academic dream into a commercial reality. The most exciting thing is that we're just getting started.

The Mission

As a Senior RF Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimise the RF systems that underpin OQC's quantum computing platform. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge hardware, systems engineering, and quantum technology, you'll solve complex RF challenges that improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our quantum computers.

The Role

You'll be a technical specialist within our Advanced Product Development team, leading the design and validation of RF and microwave solutions that enable quantum control and readout. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you'll take ownership of RF hardware development from concept through to deployment, helping shape the future of commercially viable quantum computing.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Architecting and delivering RF control, readout, and packaging solutions that meet demanding system performance requirements
  • Designing, simulating, testing, and optimising RF and microwave circuitry using modelling tools and laboratory-based experimentation
  • Leading RF characterisation activities, including microwave I/O analysis, filtering design, signal-to-noise optimisation, and performance validation
  • Investigating complex technical issues, driving root-cause analysis, and implementing data-led design improvements
  • Collaborating with hardware, systems, and cryogenic engineering teams to ensure successful integration across the quantum computing stack
  • Managing technical engagement with RF suppliers, evaluating components, and supporting hardware quality assurance activities
  • Providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and contributing to roadmap planning, delivery forecasting, and engineering best practices

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
