I’m supporting a key client based at their HQ in Sedgefield — a high-growth RF/microwave technology business delivering advanced connectivity solutions into space, defence, telecoms, and critical communications sectors. They design and manufacture high-performance RF, microwave, and mmWave hardware for mission-critical systems, and they’re scaling quickly following strong revenue growth and multiple flagship programme wins.
They’re now looking to add a Senior RF Engineer to strengthen their core RF/mmWave capability at the Sedgefield HQ. This Senior RF Engineer will take a leading role in designing, developing, and validating high-performance RF/mmWave circuits and subsystems, collaborating closely across engineering teams and playing a key part in delivering complex new products.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
