Senior Risk Analyst
Salary: Up to £57,000
Location: Birmingham
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days a week in-office)

The Role
This Senior Risk Analyst position will focus primarily on acquisition strategy development while providing exposure across broader areas of the credit lifecycle. You'll work with large datasets, develop and optimise lending strategies, and help shape risk decisions for both existing and new lending products.

Specifically, you can expect to be involved in:
- Developing and optimising acquisition and customer management credit risk strategies.
- Building and enhancing scorecards, affordability models, lending policies, pricing, and limit strategies.
- Conducting portfolio analysis, monitoring performance trends, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Working with internal, bureau, and alternative data sources to support decision-making.
- Presenting recommendations and strategy changes to senior stakeholders and risk committees.

Skills and Experience
The successful Senior Risk Analyst must have the following skills and experience:
- Experience within a Credit Risk, Risk Analytics, Data Science, or Risk Modelling environment.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working within consumer lending.
- Proficiency in SQL, SAS, or Python.
- Experience using data to develop, evaluate, or optimise lending strategies.
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Benefits
