Senior Risk Lawyer
We’re working with an international law firm to appoint a Senior Risk Lawyer in London. In this role, you'll be advising across the business and its international offices on a wide range of risk and compliance matters. The role offers broad involvement in day-to-day queries and firm-wide risk initiatives, with hybrid working.
About the Role
The firm is seeking a qualified solicitor with at least five years’ post-qualification experience in the internal risk or general counsel team of a global or City law firm. You’ll bring experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, alongside a strong working knowledge of the UK GDPR, SRA Standards and Regulations, the UK Bribery Act 2010, and laws concerning market abuse and insider trading.

Responsibilities
- Providing legal and regulatory risk management support to the firm and its international offices.
- Advising partners and employees on a varied range of day-to-day risk and compliance queries.
- Supporting the firm in meeting the legal and regulatory requirements that apply to its operations.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Applying relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks, including the UK GDPR, SRA Standards and Regulations, the UK Bribery Act 2010, and laws relating to market abuse and insider trading.
- Contributing to risk management initiatives and firm-wide projects, working with colleagues across the business as appropriate.
- Helping the Risk team develop its support for the firm, reporting to the Head of Risk.
