What Is the Opportunity?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Senior Risk Management Consultant to join our Professions team in London, working across a portfolio that spans solicitors, accountants, surveyors and engineers. In this interesting and varied role, you'll analyse claims data to identify trends and recurring errors, advise clients on how to manage and mitigate their exposures, and work closely with underwriters to provide insight on risk and regulatory issues.

You'll be a confident communicator who thrives in front of an audience — whether that's presenting to insured firms on how to reduce their risk, organising and hosting client risk seminars, or engaging with professional bodies and third-party organisations. If you're passionate about helping professional services firms understand and manage their risks more effectively, and come from a legal, underwriting, claims or risk management background we’d love to hear from you.

Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

What Will You Do?

  • Supports and develops the Travelers value added risk management proposition across the Professions portfolio.

  • Coordinates visit requests from underwriters and proactively contacts in conjunction with fellow risk managers direct insureds (and non-direct cases via their broker) paying more than £10,000 premium to ensure they have been made aware of our risk management offering.
  • Visits customers- firms, either at their request or at the request of the underwriters, and prepares a report dealing with current risk exposure, claims history (if appropriate) and ways in which they could reduce risk. This includes advising the underwriters as to the perception of future risk that the firm may present.
  • Researches and prepares written materials, including Gazette columns, items for the solicitor's bulletin, and any other articles that may be requested, either in house or for external publications.
  • Researches, prepares and presents seminars, in-house to customers at their request, or for external bodies such as local Law Societies, or other organisations (e.g. CLT) as requested.
  • Researches, develops and prepares relevant materials (such as the Risk Management factsheets, best practice guides).
  • Assists the underwriters as requested with advice on legal or professional practice issues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
