Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey.

At Mace, we're shaping the future of mobility infrastructure across some of the UK's most complex and high-profile programmes. As our Mobility business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join our team and play a key role in helping our clients successfully deliver major infrastructure projects.

This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of programme and project delivery, partnering with clients and project teams to identify, assess and manage risk across large-scale aviation, rail, highways, ports and transportation programmes.

The opportunity:

As a Senior Risk Manager, you'll provide strategic risk leadership across major commissions, helping clients make informed decisions and successfully navigate uncertainty. You'll lead the development of risk management frameworks and assurance strategies, facilitate risk workshops, deliver quantitative risk analysis, and work closely with PMO, planning and project controls teams to drive programme performance.

You'll also support the development of our growing risk capability through mentoring, leadership and contributing to the recruitment and development of future talent.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Directing risk management activities across major infrastructure programmes and projects.
  • Developing and implementing effective risk management frameworks, governance and assurance strategies.
  • Facilitating risk and opportunity workshops with clients, consultants and delivery teams.
  • Delivering qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including schedule and cost risk assessments.
  • Supporting project teams in identifying mitigation strategies and maximising opportunities.
  • Producing insightful risk reporting and providing recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensuring risk mitigation plans are actively managed, monitored and embedded within project delivery plans.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted advisor on risk management matters.
  • Managing and mentoring risk professionals, supporting capability development across the business.
  • Working collaboratively with PMO, planning and project controls teams to integrate risk management into wider project delivery processes.
  • Contributing to business development activities, bids and winning work opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
