As Senior Risk Manager
As Senior Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in protecting Zodia Custody's business, clients and reputation while supporting sustainable growth across our global operations.
Working closely with senior leadership, business functions and regulatory stakeholders, you will oversee the firm's risk portfolio, drive risk management initiatives across our international entities and help ensure risk remains embedded in decision-making across the organisation.
This role offers significant visibility and influence, providing the opportunity to engage directly with executive leadership, regulators, auditors and key strategic partners.
What You'll Be Doing
Enterprise Risk Management
- Maintain and enhance Zodia Custody's enterprise risk management framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practice.
- Oversee subsidiary risk programmes, ensuring consistency and alignment across global jurisdictions.
- Drive risk governance activities and ensure risk management principles remain embedded throughout the business.
Risk Oversight & Assessment
- Lead and coordinate risk assessments across operational, strategic, product and crypto asset risk domains.
- Facilitate Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), control testing and risk identification activities.
- Monitor emerging risks, regulatory developments and financial crime trends impacting the digital asset ecosystem.
- Partner with business leaders to develop practical and effective risk mitigation strategies.

Assurance & Audit
- Lead SOC 1 Type II audit activities and coordinate engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support assurance programmes including SOC 2, ISO 27001 and broader risk management reviews.
- Work closely with Internal Audit, external auditors and regulators to maintain strong assurance outcomes.
Governance & Reporting
- Prepare and present risk reporting to senior management, risk committees and boards.
- Maintain oversight of material risk incidents, remediation activities and risk action plans.
- Deliver insightful reporting and recommendations that enable informed executive decision-making.
Operational Resilience
- Support the firm's operational resilience and business continuity capabilities.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations and Client Services teams to strengthen resilience across critical services and processes.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- 7+ years of risk management experience within financial services.
- At least 2 years' experience working within the digital assets, crypto or blockchain ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk management principles, frameworks and governance models.
- Experience operating within a Three Lines of Defence environment.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and enhancing risk programmes across organisations at differing levels of maturity.
- Experience engaging with senior leadership, boards, auditors and regulators.

- Previous exposure to operational resilience, technology risk or crypto asset risk frameworks.
