Senior Risk Manager
Location: Remote - Salary: Competitive + Benefits
Shape the Future of Risk in a Growing Business
We're looking for an experienced Senior Risk Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening enterprise risk management, supporting executive leadership, and driving the successful integration of a newly acquired business.
This is a high-impact position where you'll work closely with the Chief Risk Officer and senior leadership team, helping to embed a strong risk culture while ensuring the organisation is well prepared for regulatory scrutiny and future growth.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for enhancing and embedding the company's enterprise risk framework, ensuring accountability for risk sits within the business while providing expert guidance to senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strengthen and embed the enterprise risk and control framework across the organisation.
- Partner with Executive and Senior Leadership Teams to improve governance, accountability and risk ownership.
- Coach business leaders on effective risk management and decision-making.
- Refresh and standardise governance documentation, including RACI matrices, Risk Management Meetings and committee reporting.
- Prepare the organisation for internal and external audits, ensuring robust evidence and documentation are in place.
- Support the Chief Risk Officer with executive reporting and risk maturity initiatives.
- Develop and deliver the risk integration roadmap for newly acquired businesses.
- Provide strategic risk advice throughout merger and acquisition integration programmes.
- Identify emerging risks and recommend practical solutions that enable the business to achieve its objectives.
- Promote a positive, commercially focused risk culture across the organisation.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical risk expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills.
You'll ideally have:
- Significant experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk or Governance.
- Experience working with Executive Leadership Teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks and risk ownership models.
- Experience preparing organisations for internal or external audits.
- The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders in a constructive manner.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance risk management with business objectives.
- Experience supporting organisational change, transformation or M&A integration would be highly advantageous.
